Apple Byrd

Kendal
Sleeps 5
Bedrooms 3
Apple Byrd is a beautifully refurbished, light and airy semi-detached house with three individually styled bedrooms, established gardens, and an extensive drive for off-street parking. It is ideal for families and friends visiting the area.
The house has the great advantage of being located within short walking distance of the Town Centre, the local pub, numerous eateries, takeaways, a corner shop, and Kendal railway station, linking you to Windermere and Oxenhomle West Coast mainline for connections to London and Scotland.
If you prefer to drive to Windermere, it is approximately 8 miles from the house, avoiding the town centre. There are also supermarkets less than a mile away in the opposite direction with petrol forecourts and EV charging points.

The owners have been very creative, using textured wallpapers, curated mirrors, artworks, wall hangings, table lamps, and rugs to achieve a calm, harmonious atmosphere of warmth and style. They have exploited the house's abundant natural light to set off a colour scheme of welcoming neutral tones. There are obvious influences from the smooth modern lines of Scandinavian design and the functional elegance of Japan. You will notice the owners' interest in the movies and the arts, with fun references to films in all the lower rooms.

The ground floor has a newly installed kitchen, fully stocked with modern appliances and a kitchen island with stools. This makes a great social space to enjoy a drink while cooking a meal. After you have dined at the large oak dining table in the livingroom, you may wish to chill out on the comfy sofa and chairs, watch TV, or browse through the well-stocked bookcases.

The upstairs has natural wooden floors and rugs throughout. There are three individually styled bedrooms, two double bedrooms with double beds and lovely views of the garden and distant fells, and a single bedroom overlooking the front of the house and garden.

Outside, the garden wraps around three sides of the house. The rear garden is a perfect haven with lush lawns and established fruit trees to relax with a cup of tea or a G&T with friends. Enjoy!
