The Laal Ewe is a stylish glamping pod, situated on a working farm in Underbarrow, 6-miles from Bowness-on-Windermere and a 5-minute walk away is the popular Black Labrador Pub, which offers fantastic food and a great choice of ales.
New for 2022, this Lake District Glamping Pod benefits from underfloor heating, mains electricity and plumbed in facilities plus views overlooking open farmland, grazing cows and sheep.
On warmer days, enjoy a BBQ on the private patio or settle for a few drinks beside the fire pit.

Accommodation Summary
- King-size double bed with fabulously comfy pillows, shelf storage and USB sockets for charging devices.
- Sitting area and a dining area plus a wall-mounted 38" flat-screen TV with FreeSat.
- Kitchen area with, Belfast-sink and mains water, 2-ring induction hob, microwave combi-oven, kettle, toaster and a fridge with freezer compartment.
- Bathroom with basin and vanity cupboards, toilet, heated towel rail and a shower cubicle.
- The rental price includes bed linen, towels and robes as well a complimentary tea, coffee, coffee pods, soap, shampoo and conditioner.
- A small basket of wood & firefighters for the fire pit is also provided. Additional wood can be purchased from the farm if required.
- Short breaks are available throughout the year, subject to a minimum of a two-night stay.
- A travel cot can be provided if required.
- One well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional cost of £10.00 per stay. Additional dogs by arrangement.
- Currently, there is no Wifi, but this will be installed soon. there is a good 4G mobile signal.
- The Dairy Farm consist of four other pods: The family-friendly Pig Pod and Hen House, both sleeping four, and the Shearing Shed and Herdsman Hut, both sleeping two.
About the location
Underbarrow is a small village situated 3-miles west of Kendal and 6-miles from Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can hop onboard one of the Windermere Cruise Boats to Lakeside or to Ambleside. Locally you have two pubs, The Black Labrador and The Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite, both offering excellent food and a choice of Ales. If you are attending a wedding at Paddock Barn Wedding Venue in Underbarrow, then this is also a fantastic option for accommodation.
There are a number of lovely walks from the doorstep, one of the more popular is Scout Scar, which offers breathtaking views over the Lyth Valley and Morecambe Bay or alternatively, the quiet roads are fantastic for cycling into Windermere and beyond.
