White Cross Bay Holiday Park is situated 5-Star Park on the A591, halfway between Windermere and Ambleside.
The park includes a restaurant/bar, a beer garden and a picnic area, fantastic leisure facilities with a pool, as well as sports courts, a shop and guest laundry facilities (fee). There’s also a playground. Pets are welcome in the park but do check if your chosen lodges accept dogs.
A 10-minute walk away is Brockhole Lake District Visitors Centre and Treetop Trek Family activity centre offering vertiginous rope obstacles for all ages high in the treetops. From Brockhole, you can hop on board one of the Lake Cruise boats and sail to Bowness, Ambleside, Wray Castle or Lakeside (home to the Lakes Aquarium and Haverthwaite Steam Railway).
The 555 Lakeland Bus passes the park hourly, so you can leave the car and travel as far as Keswick, or to Kendal in the opposite direction.
