Rydal Water
Rydal Water is a peaceful spot for wild swimming, with no motorboats and a quiet setting. For those thinking about wild swimming, please make sure you are wearing the correct equipment and be aware that swimming is not permitted in places like Ennerdale Water, Haweswater Reservoir, Thirlmere Reservoir, and Kentmere Reservoir.
We have several properties nearby in Ambleside that provide easy access to Rydal Water. These properties offer a great base for exploring the area, even if they don’t directly overlook the lake.

Rivers
